To Facilitate and Attract investment, A Quadripartite Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding was Signed

A Quadripartite Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Respected Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Mahmoud Karzai Acting Minister of Urban Development and Lands, Mr. Mohammad Ismail Ghazanfar, DG of Afghanistan Chambers Federation and Mr. Ataullah Nasib DG of Investment Facilitation of Administrative office of the President. In order to Facilitate and Attract Investment, about 50 government land and property investment projects and 950 other investment projects in the country, a MoU was signed with the participate of government and the private sector representatives in the conference hall of Afghanistan Chambers Federation.
Greeting the signing of this memorandum, Respected Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani said: "Now public organizations and the private sector are striving together to facilitate and attract domestic and foreign investment in various projects’’.
Based on the MoU, The MUDL in cooperation with the MoIC, will provide detailed information regarding the 50 investment projects.
According to the MoU, the Afghanistan Chambers Federation and the Investment Facilitation Unit, in order to better encourage investors, will hold conferences, seminars, gatherings and media awareness to provide the room for attracting investment in these projects.
Conferring to this memorandum, the MUDL in coordination with the MoIC and other government organizations for the effective use of government lands and property; The MUDL has prepared an investment package regarding 50 projects in 7 provinces of the country and 950 other projects and with the kick off of its operational work, US $ 3.4 billion in these projects will be invested and job opportunities will be provided for nearly 10,000 people.
It’s worth mentioning, a joint committee of representatives of these four organizations will be established and will be responsible for implementing and following up this memorandum.
