Holding a Meeting to Solve the Problems of Iron Production Sector

A meeting to solve the problems of the iron and steel sector and the issue of steel plant factories was chaired by Mr. Sayed Mohsen Sadat, Director General of Industrial Parks and Industries of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, with the participation of representatives of this sector and steel companies.

In this meeting, the problems of the iron and steel sector and the companies producing steel and recycled iron were discussed and the representatives of this sector shared their problems with the General Directorate of Industrial Parks and Industries.

Mr. Sayed Mohsen Sadat said the MoIC has prepared and arranged a policy to support the iron smelting sector and efforts are underway on depreciated iron policy.

It is noteworthy that, there are currently about 30 small, medium and large steel mills in the country, and Afghanistan has become self-sufficient in terms of producing steel and iron.
