Pakistan-Afghanistan Trade and Investment Forum 2020 attended by Respected Mr. Imran Khan Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Honored Mr. Mir Rahman Rahmani Head of Parliament of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Respected Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Mohammad Umar Daudzai Special Representative of President in Pakistan affairs and traders’ representatives of two countries. This Forum was held in Islamabad, Pakistan to expand the level of trade-transit cooperation between the two countries.

In this occasion, Mr. Imran Khan stressed on solving the trade-transit glitches and said: "Now, the room for expanding trade-transit cooperation between Pakistan-Afghanistan has become more favorable and this opportunity should be used well."

On the other side, Mr. Mir Rahman Rahmani stated: Strengthening trade relations between these two countries' traders is in the interest of their economy.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, who headed the Afghanistan Government - Commercial delegation to Pakistan, said: " Holding this forum will enable the officials of the Government of Afghanistan and the friend country of Pakistan to allay the concerns of investors and traders of the two countries through dialogue and increase trade level relations more than before.

"We in Afghanistan have the opportunity to make huge investments in various sectors, one of which is the hope for the successful implementation of TAPI Project, which connects Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India through a gas pipeline," Mr. Ghoryani added.

Denoting to the country's role in regional trade and transit, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce said: " Afghanistan government is still putting efforts to connect Uzbekistan to Gwadar Port of Pakistan via land transit to increase the trade level relations through Afghanistan."

Mr. Ghoryani expressed hope that all our transit-trade problems would be solved in the coming months by the Government of Pakistan so that we could see development in trade relations between these two countries.

The Pakistan-Afghanistan Trade and Investment Forum 2020 was launched yesterday in Islamabad Pakistan and will finish today, this forum focuses on the Trade and Investment problems of Pakistan-Afghanistan and expanding the level of trade cooperation between these two countries.
