Minister of Industry and Commerce emphasizes holding elections for the Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock

Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce met with the interim leadership of the Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock Production and stressed the need to hold elections for the leadership of this chamber.

During the meeting, the head of the chamber presented a report on their activities and stated, so far the branches of this chamber have been opened in 15 provinces, and branches of this chamber are being opened and developed in other provinces.

The members of this chamber were also assured of their preparations for the elections.

Mr. Ghoryani, while appreciating and praising the activities of this chamber, stressed that in democratic systems, elections are an accepted principle and the leadership of elected institutions should be elected through a transparent, direct, and universal election process.

Recently, the Minister of Industry and Commerce announced the Ministry's preparations for concluding a contract for the daily transfer of 40 tons of Afghanistan agricultural products to Qatar shortly and called on agricultural sector activists to use this golden opportunity by raising standards in exporting agricultural products.
