Khost province come to be self-sufficient in poultry meat production

Increment in poultry industry in Khost

Poultry farms in Khost province with production of 10 to 15 thousand kilograms of chicken meat per day, has met the needs of this province for chicken meat.

There are currently 1,100 poultry farms in this province, which also vend their products to neighboring Paktia and Paktika provinces.

Formerly, residents of Khost and neighboring provinces imported the chicken meat from Pakistan, but now the province has become self-sufficient in chicken production.

Welcoming the self-sufficiency of the province in the production of chicken meat, the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has prepared a policy to support the poultry sector, and based on this policy, this sector will become self-sufficient in the next few years.
