Afghanistan Saffron is sold under the name of Afghan product in Indian markets

The trade attaché office of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan in Mumbai said, based on their efforts, the country's saffron will be sold in Indian markets under the name of Afghanistan.

The trade attaché said, for decades Afghanistan saffron was imported from Afghanistan by Indian traders and then supplied to the markets of that country with high-quality packaging under the name and logo of Indian saffron.

He added, for about six months now, the Mumbai-based Afghan trade attaché office has launched a large-scale campaign to sell the country's saffron under the name Product of Afghanistan, and has agreed to accept the plan through face-to-face and online meetings with Indian importers.

The head of this office says, until their promise and proposal, Mataji Trading Company, on July 13, 2021, in the packaging of its famous brand called (Mataji Saffron), created the label of the product of Afghanistan (Product of Afghanistan) and the mentioned company has promised to introduce this saffron brand to Indian markets under the Afghan product name.

According to the trade attaché office of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the number of Afghan saffron exports to India has significantly increased by 26% in the last three years.
